Before I saw Hannah I could not walk or stand for 5 minutes without pain. My family doctor could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was unable to work and my mental health was seriously deteriorating. After just one session with Hannah I experienced improvements in my health both physically and mentally. Happy to report that two months later I am back to work and feeling stronger every day. Her therapy sessions go beyond traditional yoga practices and heal you from the inside and out! I have been attending yoga classes with Hanna Back for over 16 years, after the birth of my second child.
Thursday night classes are sacred to me and my friends know not to schedule anything on a Thursday
night if they want me to attend!
Hanna is attuned to the needs of each individual in her class; while maintaining our privacy, she tailors
each class to the diverse physical and spiritual needs of her students. Hanna is very knowledgeable, and
her techniques and approaches are well-researched. Consequently, she has helped me to manage the
symptoms associated with anxiety, arthritis, perimenopause, and menopause. The results can’t be
matched by a typical yoga studio with generic classes; each class of Hanna’s is therapeutically designed
to help heal both the mind and the body.
I look forward to my weekly classes with Hanna and I believe that her gentle and compassionate
approach to yoga therapy has helped me grow as a person. I now use breathing techniques daily and
my body awareness is much greater than it was before I started working with her. This has helped me
reduce my stress levels, improve my posture, manage my personal health, and maintain my strength

Hanna Back has many years of experience teaching yoga. Her yoga style has always been attention to detail and to the needs of each and every student in her class. I have been attending workshops and classes of Hanna's for the past 4 years, If this statement sounds glowing, it is!
Her instruction is both warm and professional, encompassing the physical body awareness as well as the mind/spirit awareness.
We all have our body issues, with my main one being diagnosed with severe planar fasciitis...very flat feet! I was advised by a podiatrist to never walk without having my custom; made orthotics in my shoes, or I could harm my feet permanently. However I have since learned from Hanna , that the feet can be, with gradual care, strengthened , so that orthotics are not always necessary . I can now cross country ski again with-out foot pain, and wear less bulky shoes when out shopping etc....
She has also taught me how to do squats safely, ...something that I have not been able to do since I was 30, (I am now in my early 60's)
This has made my lower body and balance much stronger.... allowing potential to do more activity.
I am also learning the benefits of breathing exercises to calm the mind, increase energy and reduce anxiety.
I highly recommend her.
